Upon returning to Ljubuški, his reputation skyrocketed. Patients from all over Europe, Asia, and America sought his help. He was so effective that even trained physicians of the time would come to him for advice or to observe his methods. Despite facing legal challenges from authorities who were suspicious of alternative practitioners, his success in treating a Yugoslav minister eventually led to his work being officially sanctioned in 1928, the same year he published his magnum opus. He never charged for his services, surviving on voluntary contributions which he then used to help the poor in his hometown. He passed away in 1940, but his legacy was carried on by his son, Šefik, and then his grandson, Dr. Nihad Sadiković, a medical doctor who continues the family tradition of phytotherapy.
