The DSV1340's lamp life is rated for up to 5,000 hours in normal mode and up to (equivalent to over 6.8 years at 2 hours of daily use). The projector uses a 190W Osram P-VIP lamp, and replacement modules (including the lamp and housing) are readily available from third-party suppliers.
