10-20 -episodes 10-20-: Angry Birds Toons

Episodes 10 to 20 of Angry Birds Toons proved that mobile game characters could successfully transition into genuine entertainment icons. By expanding the personalities of characters who previously only had mid-flight screams, Rovio created a foundational lore that would eventually pave the way for two major theatrical feature films.

The episode is a Rube Goldberg machine of destruction. A pig drops a flower near Bomb → Bomb sneezes → the explosion launches a boulder → the boulder crushes a pig tower → the tower falls onto King Pig’s cake. Cause and effect at its finest.

: The main flock includes Red, Chuck, Bomb, Matilda, Terence, and the Blues (Jay, Jake, and Jim).

The episode plays brilliantly with Red’s psychology. Is he paranoid, or is he the only one paying attention? The climax reveals he was right all along, but by then, no one believes him. It’s a darkly comedic ending where Red stops the pigs single-handedly, yet still gets scolded by Mighty Eagle. This episode solidifies Red as the tragicomic hero of the series. The slingshot is the birds' primary defensive weapon, and this episode focuses on its mechanics and misuse. When Red tries to teach the younger birds the proper protocol for slingshot safety and accuracy, chaos ensues. The Blues (Jay, Jake, and Jim) view the weapon as a toy, leading to a series of escalating, destructive pranks that push Red to his limits. Episode 12: "Thunder Chuck"

The animated series brings the popular mobile game characters to life through short, dialogue-free episodes. Episodes 10 through 20 of the first season aired between May and July 2013, focusing on the comedic rivalry between the birds protecting their eggs and the pigs attempting to steal them. Following the chaotic but charming debut of the first nine episodes, Angry Birds Toons hit its stride in the next batch of shorts. Episodes 10 through 20 solidified the series' signature blend of slapstick comedy, silent-movie physicality, and surprisingly heartfelt moments. Without a single line of dialogue (aside from grunts, squeaks, and the iconic battle cry), these episodes expanded the world of Piggy Island, giving both the birds and pigs deeper—if hilarious—personalities.

: Episode 20 marks a memorable moment where the "unstoppable force" of Terence is used to humble the "unstoppable speed" of Chuck. Angry Birds Toons/Episodes
